Is anyone going to this event? was created by Back in Black
This has been drawn to my attention:

Thames Valley 4x4 are having a day at Broxhead on the 13th November, apparently its £30 per vehicle and open to non-members. I'm going and I promise I will do my best not to tarnish the good name of Jimny's (i.e. trying not to get wedged in again  !!)

TV4x4 is my old club, haven't been for a while as the Jimny is not road taxed so trailering to the events is a pain.

However here are a couple of pictures from Broxhead (thanks to Jon King)

Thanks for posting those pictures Martin! They managed to catch the two low points!! Never did get to the top of the first hill, front wheets over but grounded out and couldn't get enough grip. I don't feel too bad though, look what happened next:

Luckily once I got out the mud stopped coming in......

It was a great day, and would certainly recommend it.

No kidding!! The brakes seem to have taken a beating too (defo need a bleeding)! Also, I think breathers required before I try floating again! Luckily a friend who came with me knew of a ford in Borden, so me and the Landy in the picture above went and removed as much sand as possible that the jet wash failed to before driving home.

I was really trying to keep the good name of Jimny's in tact, only got stuck twice (winch required both times - seems to be a theme for my off roading). The car is quite clean in the photo's above, you should have seen it before the jet wash!!

You should hear the windows going up and down (:pinch: )
All that sand......

My record for Brake shoes is 29 miles, brand new to worn out! This was for an event at Slab Common, just down the road.
