I have read somewhere that if you buy a pair of 3 inch springs for the front then you can use the original springs for the back to get a full 3 inch lift if this correct and has anyone done it.

I've never heard of it but would think that the spring rates would be all wrong as the back has no engine in and therefore will have far too heavy springs on the back.

I'd spend the money on a fully matched kit designed for the job.

I have most certainly heard this one for a cheap lift - I am sure someone on here has done it.

Front springs moved to rear and Mercedes springs onto the front (but which Mercedes?)

I have no intentions of doing this as i learnt my lesson a long time ago about putting mismatched springs on and ended up bouncing down the road in a ford sierra but i was just interested if anyone has done it and how they got on, and would you belive it i cant find the article i saw on the net the other night just spent about an hour looking. :-)
