UK MOT? was created by Soeley
Hi, just got a question with the current UK MOT rules.

My sons Vitara has just failed on both drop links. His current MOT still has a week to go on it. With the new computerised MOT system, can he still drive it for that week or is that now cancelled by the new failure?

Cheers.

It's now a failure from when issued. No longer from when the last one ran out. You can take it to a place of repair but can only drive it to a pre booked test center appointment.

That is what I was thinking, but wasn't sure.
Thank you.

If it failed on a major fault you can continue driving. If it failed on a dangerous fault you can't. Take a look here for more details.
