Halfords Fail!

Spotted on another car related forum...
"right so at work today a car came in and said they went to halfords to get an indicator bulb changed and they some how dropped the bulb into the headlight when changing it and they left it in there and put another bulb in the holder and put it back together like nothing was wrong. tut tut

I wouldn't let anyone from halfords touch my cars! I don't even like my cars in a proper garage, as I prefer to things correctly myself.
A friend of mine is kept in work fixing stuff that halfords guys have installed, and the amount they charge for fitting bulbs ect is crazy.

Ditto! Why would you allow someone who has still got youth acne work on your car, even to change a bulb? A lot of modern headlamps have to be removed to replace bulbs. You can just imagine the potential for broken plastic clips necessitating a whole new headlamp at lots of money!
This just confirms to me, if you want a job done properly, do it yourself or find a mechanic you trust and don't deviate.
