So I think I have got all the bits now, it was already hinged and had the screen clamps.
The bonnet loop was present. I’ve got the bumpers and legs, the screen loop and a retaining strap on order.
The screen doesn’t have fittings for these so I’ll need to eye them in.
Above the doors we have a bolt in panel that joins the screen to the targa. This seems superfluous? What was the factory setup? Do I have a part converted car?
Or should I have stowage and carry a screw driver to drop the screen? Seems a bit overkill especially given how hard to remove those cross heads were?
I’m confused but I’d like it to fold!

Nice idea, but is it still the law that you need to wear goggles for eye protection if the screen is lowered?

Not sure but certainly a decent set of cycling glasses or similar will be needed

All mine have had that same setup. Bumpstops, hinges, loops, clamps, but bars from windscreen to targa must be screwed off before folding.
Loosened and lubed they will come off easy the next time.
Cannot say i have seen any other solution on this either.
Maybe the US models have another soultion as they have the extra internal roll bar.
I have allways removed the brackets for the bumpstops on top of the windscreen and just put the bumpstops on the frame without the longer brackets. Mostly for looks.
But very seldom done the fold. I can only eat so many bugs.
Most of the time I drive with the top down, the heater must be on full and a warm coat on. This is Norway
