abs sensors.... cleaning? was created by biggaz
 ok so the abs lights been on since the mud venture on sunday. Thinking it may have been all the crap in the wheels etc getting to the sensors. Is there any way of cleaning the sensors and what with . Will check for any obvious damage aswell to wiring etc...
Thanks all.

IIRC its usually a sensor that gets knocked out of alignment when off roading that causes warning light issues. A case of a great idea let down by fragile components.......
I think Im right in saying that the sensor focuses on a toothed wheel somewhere on the hub to detect a wheel locking up under braking........so if a sensor is knocked out of alignment, it cant read the toothed wheel and therefore shows a fault. Dunno is the diagnostic socket would give enough info to show which wheel is causing the problem....... then theres the matter of realigning the sensor to be in the correct position - I guess a decent manual would show how??
Good Luck!!
