4x4 problem was created by clyde
hi everyone, wondering if anyone can help,my little suzi seems to have stopped selecting 4 x4. the problem seems to have started from when i hosed the underside off. i noticed 1 of the vacuum pipes had come off from the hub, so i reattatched.not had to use the 4x4 till yesterday ,you select 4x4 and the light on the dash comes on( stays on and does not flash)so reading up a bit this seems to be working fine. but you can not hear the front hubs (clacking in or out),any suggestions as to where to start looking would be appreciated. i have also checked the fuse and that is ok. it is a 2000 model 1.3 16 v. many thanks karl:ohmy:

Hi,
I'm not to sure on how to fix it if it is broke, but you will know for sure if it is working if you engage 4x4 and put it on full lock whist on firm ground, the front and back tyres will start fighting with each other especially in reverse. If it is working don't do it for too long as it will damage something.
All the best
