Hi all,
Last year I bought a 2019 GLX model Jimny. The GLX model is the higher spec with LED headlights and should have automatic headlight leveling. Mine doesn't seem to be working. After start there is a yellow icon on the dashboard indicating that the automatic headlight leveling failed to initialize. I noticed this a few days after the purchase and decided to fix it.
I found that there should be a headlight leveling sensor attached to the rear axle. There was no trace of a sensor on my car. The car is lifted (OME), so my thinking is that they probably didn't extend the sensor bracket and it just ripped off the car at some point.
I bought a second hand sensor + the OME extension bracket and proceeded to install it only to find you that there's no way to attach it to the rear axle. Turns out a bracket was missing there too as if it was never there. I purchased this bracket from the local dealer (had to wait 2 weeks). Then attempted to install the sensor, only to find out there is no connector in the wiring loom from the cabin. I searched everywhere under the car, above the axle, above the fuel tank... there's just no connector at all.
It's a big mistery. I know this car has additional wiring for a tow bar, but it comes from a hole on the left side of the cabin, and the wiring loom for the sensors (abs, fuel tank) comes from the right. I even took a picture of the loom in the cabin side. Do you think the loom was changed from a different model without a sensor? I can't think of a reason why would they do that, but seems like the only logical explanation.
Dealer says the whole loom from the front to the back of the car is a single SKU and the price is astronomical. I really want to fix this, already purchased a lot of things and only need to figure out the connection. If someone knows the pinout of the connector from the picture, it could help me a lot.

That seems very strange, if while fitting the lift kit they decided not to bother with auto sensor extended bracket. Why on earth remove the mounting bracket from the axle and remove that section of loom, you'd just tape it up?
I'm not really familiar with the GLX spec, but LED headlights, sounds similar to the UK SZ5 spec. Has yours got the headlight washer jets in the front bumper, and there is no manual height adjustment in the lower dash near the steering wheel?

I'll try and have a look at the wiring diagram as soon as I can.

Thank you for the diagrams. I definitely don's see RGB wires on the loom after the connector in the cabin, so it must be from another car. I think I see RGB wires on the loom before the connector though. So I will need to tap into those and route my own wires to the sensor. I think this should be enough. Thank you!
