Apparently this head gasket is called a multi layer gasket.
A repairer stated they aren't glued together, but it's separated at each end.
Do you know if there is recommended gasket kit.
I've worked on V8s in the past, but this jimny is a whole new game.

That gasket is normal. It's clamped under lots of force from the head bolts so it doesn't need to be stuck together. I've used cheap gasket kits from ebay a couple of times now and they've been fine. Go with a genuine Suzuki one if you're not happy going cheap.
Re. your earlier comments on the timing I hadn't realised you were taking the engine apart. When putting it back together there are markings on the timing chain that help greatly

The car has an overheating issue, suspect head gasket.
The gasket looks a bit suspect to me.
Discovered needed to remove cams to remove head.
I noticed when removing cam caps the cams moved slightly away from the marks.
Is that anything to be concerned about?
