Yeah thanks, tried that, but all it came up with was your normal side wall markings.Definitely a tread wear bar, never seen one set at 4mm before, but never had proper AT tyres. Maybe Google the tyre & see what the manufacturer says,

Tread wear indicator
Never seen the other indicator circled in red
When my tyres get to around 8mm they get changed
Only really used off road

My standard Dueler tyres have these and they indicate 3mm tread left so I assume that is a common sense ( change me if you know what's good for you) as against the legal limit marker ( change me you idiot ) of 1.6mm.

Here in Norway the limit for tyres during winter is 3mm.
I f this tyre is also sold here with an three peak snow flake marking, then that might be an explanation.
Should be min. 3mm all year in my opinion so Rogers interpretations are good guidelines.
