Hi guys,

I have a Jimny Lite (no touch screen audio system) on order in Australia wondered whether anyone knows if there is a way to plug a media player into the CD player via a headphone jack?   I know I can use a USB stick or iPhone/ipod as a storage device via the USB AUX port, but I would want to control the music from the device (not being a phone).

This would allow any passenger to connect their preferred music player to the CD player, including a laptop, iPad etc.

I have seen $8 cables on eBay that have a modular plug on one end and headphone jack on the other, and these are touted as being compatible with the new Jimnys, but Im not convinced. I doubt there is an empty socket on the back of the CD player just waiting for such a cable. Hopefully Im wrong.

Does anyone know?

I have one of those leads, but mine is the touch screen version, but there was any empty slot to plug it into. A good indicator without removing the head unit might be if there is a button on the front that allows you to select 'Aux Input'. Just a thought?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the radio has an AUX mode, but thats usually for the USB input. No stress..
