On my 2005 when I unlock the drivers door the rear door unlocks with the central locking, but when I close the car, I have to manually open rear, press down button while holding lever and shut door.
Sounds like the solenoid in the locking mechanism is sticking or has an electrical problem. Take the panel off the back door and inspect the actuator. Or it could be a bent or misplaced lever and that will be obvious.
