I all your probably sick of seeing my name by now but I am a newbie and want to learn
so having the jimny about a month now I want to look at changing most of the main fluids just to make sure its all done and peace of mind
i want to put decent oils in and make sure i have the correct grade and quantity so this is ware i need to be simple and nothing over the top
also in a list so lets have a go if I've missed anything please add to list and a difficulty in the job may be this can be helpful to other newbies
difficulty in job 1*= easy 5 * = hard job to be done oil needed grade etc quantity liters any special tools needed

engine oil and filter type
front diff
rear diff
transfer box
plugs
please can someone help fill this in or may have a link to these questions thanks john
Just be aware that the manual gearbox is VERY particular about having a proper gl4 oil not one of the hybrid gl4/5 oils motor factors are want of selling.

to the OP...oil and filter is very easy to change. I removed the exhaust heat shield and coolant expansion tank for easier access to the oil filter. I used 10W-40 Castrol since I am in the tropics.
Do not omit flushing coolant and brake fluid as part of the over all service....see same wiki page for specs and advice on coolant type.
