problem locating switched accessory wire was created by kelky7777
I'm trying to install an after market stereo unit, a double din, to replace the existing. I can't find a diagram online showing the colour coding, so have been checking with a meter.
So far I've located
ground = black, also black on aftermarket
constant 12 v = white, yellow on AM
illumination = red / yellow, orange on AM
the red yellow is at 12v when the lights are turned on and 0 when off, so must be the illumination wire.
I can't find the switched accessory wire, all other wires are at 0 when ignition set to accessories. Does anyone know the colour code for that one? This is on the 2005 version

If it did then there is an autoleads adapter from a Honda accord that works. Pc2-68-4

the new unit came with 2 connecters, with the plugs for the new unit on 1 end and a bunch of wires on the other, one connector for the speakers and one for power related, the colour coding for that is pretty straightforward I think.
Whats confusing is there should be an accessory wire coming from the car that shows 12v when the key is in accessory position but none of the remaining wires gives a reading.

I did consider an adapter off ebay but wanted it done today so I cut the wires too connect them direct to the new connectors
