Or swap the 00 body on to the 02. You would still need to swap wiring and ecu and locks though

what is involved in swapping the bodies? or the car is only worth 800euro over here, but the body on the '00 is 100% rust free, is it worth it?

we have 3 jimnys, also have an 06 and we paid 2800 for it, the '02 with the bad body is only rust on the boot section and wheel arches,is that worth fixing, i am fitter welder by trade so can do some work myself.

Don't know whether you pay the same tax as over here, but the 00 will be a lot cheaper to tax than the 02, so I'd consider swapping the 02 engine, transmission, wiring & ecu and door locks over to the 00, rather than swap the body, as you would still need to swap the wiring ecu and locks anyway.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
