Engine swap was created by WySiWyG
OK - so I have scanned what feels like a billion forum entries and websites but I'm still not sure what I need or what will fit - I bought a 2015 Jim (Australia) a couple of months ago and while I love it already, I had this minor (but harrowing) experience of overtaking a roadtrain on a slight incline and my engine hit a max of 110kph with the pedal jammed against the floor! I'm sure the truckie was super impressed....
I need a bigger engine but for the life of me I can't work out the difference between suitable engines that will work. I'm ok with a bigger engine that will require puting the vehincle through testing for speed etc - I had in mind something like a <2.0 (don't laugh). If there's someone out there who has been through a larger engine swap - can we chat?

The largest engine that you can fit that is a straight swap is the M18A. one of the Aussies on here can probably advise you regarding what you can and can't get engineered, the 1.8 doesn't meet the emissions requirements for a post 2008 vehicle. There is also a big thread on Auszookers.com here:

Not so much about the swap but if it's a 2015 car what about the warranty??

Not easily and its not renowned for its reliability so it would be difficult to source.
