4WD not engaging but no flashing light?

Morning all

I v nearly got stuck in a muddy field this morn when the 4wd on Jim wouldn't engage. It was fine earlier- had in 4wd and 4 low. When I went to leave my shoot I put it back into 4wd and only one clonk from the front. I think the NS hub is clicking in but not the offside.

No flashing light on the dash- it comes on and stays solid. Could the hub just be stuck?

Damn lucky I didn't get stuck- had to absolutely gun it down the track to get out!

Now not getting any noise at all when I engage 4wd although the light still goes on.

Tempted to permanently lock them or fit after market free wheeling hubs. Any ideas?

Take them off and give them a clean try that first maybe?
Don't think it's a good idea to permanent lock them I would get some manual locking ones

Thanks mate- I've taken the plunge and ordered manual hubs from jimnybits.

I know I should have tried to fix mine first but I need it working for Friday and I don't want to risk being stranded!
