Hi folks just want to ask what sort of mods would have to do to fit some 265 x 70 x 16 tyres on the jimny bought these really to go on my Jeep Cherokee kj 2.8 diesel but changed my mind instead of wrecking the Jeep,I have bought a cheap Jimny but if its going to be too much work then I will sell them and get some smaller tyres any info would be great thanks .

4 inch lift and lots of trimming of the arches and some gear reduction with a new gearset in the standard transfer box or a Rocklobster transfer box.

I've got 33-13.50-15 on mine and not broken it (much) so far.
Most of the time it's how you drive that will do the damage.

Depends entirely how the vehicle is used! Some run taller tyres on standard shafts and CVs without ever having a problem, others have smaller tyres and have uprated everything.

we've got 31 10.5 15 on and it has a 4" lift and lots of wheel arch triming
A rocklobster (4.1 tranferbox) would be good to improve the gearing back for offroading in low but you can get these reasonably cheap if you watch the forums or speak to Rockwatt on here
