Heavy clutch was created by Mart3971
Hi guys every since i bought my jimmy the clutch has been very heavy. I took the cable off the gear box the other day and the pedal goes smooth and light. Could this mean its got a heavy duty clutch or would the cable only go heavy under load?

When i got my second jimny the clutch pedal was super hard, jimnys dont have the lightest clutch, but still.
When pressed it felt as if i had a rubber ball underthe pedal, and there wasn't a variation in resistance along the pedal travel, it felt hard all the way to the bottom. It was due to an old clutch cable. The steel cable thavels inside a plastic sleeve or whatnot, and that inside is lubicated. In time, the lube dries up and there is no way of lubbing it again. I would say you need a new clucth cable. It would also be a good idea to take a look at the clutch to see if that didn't cause premature wear

That's exactly what it's doing. New cable ordered.

I replace the clutch cable on mine and it made a huge difference!
