As most of you probably know, Jimny has had three factory installed front bumper editions through the years.
The first bumper type / generation was used between 1998 and approx 2005.
The second bumper type / generation was used between approx 2005 and approx 2013.
The third bumper type / generation was introduced in approx 2013 and is currently in production.
Now, here is the question:
Is it a simple ("bolt-on") procedure to swap different front bumper types on a single Jimny? If not, what corrections would be necessary?
For example, my Jimny was made in 2006 and has 2nd gen front bumper type (the deepest/lowest one, with the smallest approach angle!). A wrecked 1st gen Jimny is for parts sale nearby, so I am thinking to replace my front bumper with a 1st gen bumper type, as it is much less deep with a better approach angle (and looks less flamboyant as well).
But I want to know if it is a simple bolt-on swap, and if my fog lights would be easily swappable as well?
Would the anti-roll bar become visible after the swap?
What about the radiator etc.?
