When my jimny get to a certain heat the cooling fan keeps cutting in for about 10 seconds then cuts out again. 20 seconds later cuts back in etc.
I'm thinking the thermostat has gone but would appreciate your advice.

Does it have air con? Jimnys have a viscos fan on the front of the engine to keep that cool, The electric fan is for the air conditioning, and will cut in and as it needs to.
It's been fettled just a tad.
