Trying to find out for sure quickly if there is any difference between a towbar listed for a soft top jimny (52 plate) and a tintop jimny (mine on a 58 plate)? I can't see why but I would like bow down to the forums superior knowledge before I pull the pin on a purchase.
I cannot see why there would be a difference. They bolt to the chassis not the body and there is no reason for the chassis to be different between soft and hard tops. Whether the chassis changed in the years of manufacturer I don't know but a specialist tow bar manufacturer site will tell you what years their bars fit and if they have different models for different cars / years.
That's what I did earlier but you've backed up my thinking lol. Just as well as I've got a shiney new towbar sitting in the garage for fitting this weekend. Lol. Cheers KirkyNut
