By the description that sounds likes it's for a Suzuki SJ / Samurai (in some countries known as a Maruti Gypsy or a Sierra, and in Japan as a "Jimny") rather than a Jimny as we know it...

Ah what a numpty
I guess the guard itself will still work, I just need to find a new way to attach it (although I think that might involve removing the underside of the bumper). How do steering guards usually attach to jimny-jimnys?
Thanks for all the help guys!

People don't really fit Steering guards to Jimnys... However it looks similar to the skid plates some people fit under the front axles. Somebody on here was selling them. On a 'modern' Jimny, they mount to the radius arm bolts, 2 each side of the diff. If the width looks about right, you could get something made up to do the same.
Personally I wouldn't bother, because the bits it protects don't need protecting and the loss in ground clearance is massive. But if clearance isn't an issue for you, that laser cut Jimny logo does look very cool!

Ah right, definitely messed this one up! I need all the ground clearance I can get. I'll try to send it back but failing that the front jimny section would probably look good on the front of a box roofrack.
