Power Steering Hoses was created by Iansea
Last week I spotted oil dripping from the front of my 2003 Jimny. After a bit of investigation I found that the metal fitting, where the return hose screws into the steering, had corroded and was weeping fluid. I mad a quick call to the main dealer to be told " You can't just get that bit. It comes as the two complete hoses at £237." I told the parts man that was outrageous and that I'd pick one up from a hydraulics company. After trying a couple of hydraulics places I was no better off. I then phoned CAM Suzuki and was told that they do the pair for £20. I duly ordered them and they arrived today. The only trouble is that there not the same as what was on there. The original fitting was a tube curved into a right angle with a flange nut on the end. The new hoses have fittings for banjo bolts on both ends. The question is have they sent me the wrong thing or is this from a later model. I did wonder if they had sent me two delivery hoses as both hoses have the fitting pressure crimped on but the original return hose end was just held on with hose clips.
I've been off the road for a week now and I'm starting to wish that I'd just stumped up the main dealer price. At least I would be able to get to work without relying on lifts from the other half.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

I think I have some pipes, is it the return side to power steering box you need? M13a engine?

Yes it's the return from the steering box to the fluid reservoir. I don't even need the whole pipe just the fitting on the end. It is an M13A non vvt engine.

I bit the bullet today and ordered the hoses from my main dealer. The £237 turns out to be without vat but at least I'll be able to get back on the road.

I went to the dealer on Saturday morning to pick up the hoses and guess what. The part I need wasn't on the new hoses. I queried this with the parts man and after a quick look on his computer and told me that my part was not part of the assembly and was £39 plus vat. The downside was that I had to wait until today to get it.
It's now back together and working but I have a slight weep from the banjo bolt connecting the hose from the power steering pump to the steering box. Does anyone know what the correct torque setting for this bolt is ?
