SHITTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So today was not a good day in the world of Jimny ownership. Having going round a field slowly at about 10mph my foot slipped off the brake and onto the throttle propelling me towards a substantial fence post. Slamming on the brakes simply made me slide down the grass track and into the fence post at about 5mph.
Anyway at first inspection the damage seemed to be a dent on the front of the bonnet and a bumper that was no longer attached to the car. However lifting the bonnet i found this:


Is this bar structural and is it easy to remove, from inspection it seems to be welded on at either end? if its not structural i'll leave it be but if it is how would i go about replacing it.

yeah it was just bad luck i think. not what i need right now as my motorbike has been knocked over in a car park and ruined.
I've ordered a new number plate and it will be back on the road before the weekend at least, although scared.

It is structural and will need experts to pull it straight I would have thought. Or, find a donor vehicle and cut out the beam and transpose to your car, welding it of course.

I wouldn't worry about it I have had to cut mine a little to fit my winch some people cut the middle bit away when fitting there's I think I've seen somewhere if the bonet still works I wouldn't worry to much I have worse damage on my work van that I didn't even see until I took the bumper but if u fill the need to fix it cheap get a slide hammer or find someone with one should only take a few mins to sort that out

Oops-a-daisy .... mm looks like a possible pull out job or the disk cutter will need plugging in ....
