I think I may have cocked up again  After barely skinning my stranglers hands while extracting the power steering belt tensioner on my '05 jim  I fink I've gone & bought the wrong bearing
You are going to tell me what a doughnut I am, I know, but can you get a replacement for the m13a engine without resorting to the stealers .....? The bearing I've got is a FAG 6303.2ZR.C3

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

As you no doubt know by now, the M13 tensioner looks like this
And is not a serviceable part, so it is off to the dealer with a wheelbarrow full of cash.
I did have the idea of machining the old one to slip a new ball race on, then making a retaining collar, and got as far as deciding that the bearing required would be a
bearing OD 3.459" 88mm
ID approx 2" 50.29mm 1.980"
Thickness 0.75" 19.14mm
50mm 90 x 20 is 6210 LLB sealed max rpm 8300 deep ball race was the nearest, but as it is smaller than the crank pulley, it would surely overspeed.
I got a second hand one from a fellow member in the end.
They all have some side play, I suppose it is a single ball race after all.

Yeah thanks for that, my fault entirely. The race was stiffish to turn but freed up with some lubrication, so I've put it back on for now till I can source another

Hi, my tensioner went. I got mine from a company on ebay. Their name is rice-rocket. The cost was £65. A lot cheaper than the stealers.

My tensioner went on my o6 jim , You can take them apart and replace the bearing, going by memory it is a 6210 2rs available for about £15/20 from any bearing distributor.
