Steering rod hitting front diff was created by Jackshepherd94
Hi all, new to this site. The steering rod on my jimny is hitting of the front diff and the prop shaft bolts. It doesn't do it all the time, jus when I turn left and brake hard. What would I need to do to stop this happening ? Thanks :)

Has the suspension been modded has it got carster corection bushes or arms is the arm bent. The trailing arm bushes may be worn or the bolt holes are elongated or king pins on one side

Yeh it's got a 3" suspension on it, I don't think it has the castor bushes in. Jus had a look at the arms then and they don't look bent. One of the bolts going through the front right bushe was loose so I tightened it but my jimny isn't running jus now :(

Castor angle and suspension changes won't affect the distance between the steering rod and diff. It's either bent (should be dead straight on rhd jimnys) or your kingpins are massively worn.
