Hi all, just bought my first Jimny last week
and looking at fitting a lift kit! Im wanting it for general road use but i do a lot of fishing and shooting so would want to be able to take it off road when I want too and not worry about damaging anything underneath!
Any help on what to go for and roughly the money it would be would be much appreciated
!
Thanks in advance, Ross

As its mainly for road use dont go above 2"
you can either go for 1.5inch spring spacers and shocker spacers for about £150
Bits4vits, jimny bits
or 2" replacement springs and shocks - will give more flex off road
jimny bits £350 upwards depending on make of shocker
you may be able to pick a used lift kit off james (j999PRE) on here

Welcome along!
A standard Jimny is a pretty capable machine. Just because you are going offroad, you don't need to have a lift kit. Fitting the right tyres is the most important bit. A transfer case guard may be a good investment but there's not much else that will get damaged unless you are really trying...

Hi and welcome, you have made a good choice by getting a jimny! I too shoot and fish and use my jimny daily, I have a 3" lift kit with castor correction bushes extended brake lines, 32mm wheel spacers 235/75/15 insa turbo special track tyres and anti roll bar removed and other than the road noise from tyres it's fine to use daily imo.
It also goes every where I have pointed it so far,
As above though even in standard form there super off road, you would be suprised where you can go even in standard form.

Im thinking of getting a 2" body lift just to get the clearance of the big tyres as i have at grabbers on my jimny just now and get a slight rub when it gets bumpy or turning hard right! so the body lift will correct this am i right?
