I bought an 03reg Jimny soft top yesterday..Drove it a few miles before buying it all seemed OK..Drove home 8 miles all OK..Now this morning jumped in it and took it for a short run however engine management lights on also the airbag lights on as well..I disconnected the battery for half an hour reconnected it and started it up ..Engine management light went off but airbag still on..Left it running for half an hour switched off restarted it and engine management light came back on as well as airbag light ...Any clues please new to Jimnys so its a learning curve..TIA

Hi, would suggest first thing to do is plug into a code reader to find out what faults it comes up with. Or take it back to the person you bought it off and ask them what they are going to do about it.
Cheers

Sounds pretty standard that for a jimny. As above put a code reader on it,
Or just take the bulbs out!

Taking the bulbs out does not fix anything but can lead to disaster. That is the sort of thing that dodgy dealers do!

I agree especially the airbag one..Just seems strange they both come on today ..The previous owner Ive known 40 odd years and he is not a dodgey person far from it any faults it was straight in the garage ..Its a very clean tidy motor ..Just these lights are offputting .Im sure its something silly as I drove it about 12 15 miles yesterday with no issues
