Good evening,

I have a new Terrafirma steering damper and brackets and I'm having trouble fitting it. It looks simple enough but need to know where I'm going wrong.

The chassis bracket and steering arm bracket go on fine. But when I attach the damper it just rotates in the middle when I tighten the nyloc nuts either end. I hold onto the damper but I can't grip it tight enough to get the nut down the thread which means I cant clamp a mole grip on the end either to stop it spinning.

Any help would be much appreciated I know this should just be a 20 min bolt on job. Many thanks. James

Is there not a flat on the end for a spanner etc to go on so you can spin the nut ?

That's correct Whaley but can't clamp anything on like pliers or mole grip because I can't ratchet the nut down far enough without the damper twisting if that makes any sense at all.
