Oil filter screw m16a engine was created by Longman

I have taken the oil filter housing off my m16a liana engine and there is already a screw thread there that the liana oil filter fits on is the jimny filter the same or do I still need to change the screw thread

hi longman iam sure its the same as I have done oil and filter last week and I have the same engine sent up as u and I got a oil filter of the reg number and it fitted prefect they did have a choice of sizes tho a fat one and a more thinner one but I think as long as the rubber seal makes a tight fit it don't matter as I tryed both and both fitted hope this helps cheers Chris

The 3 I've done all needed a screw fitting after the 90 degree liana filter head was removed.

Turbo m13a, arbs, floating rear shafts, disc conversion rear, vented front conversion. 245 70 16. Winch, 3" lift, 4:16 trans hd shafts and CVS

So there was no thread at all there when you took the old housing off

Only an internal thread. I then used a new Suzuki Jimny oil screw from Suzuki. This screws in leaving 20mm sticking out for the oil filter to screw on to.

Gold Jimny the best colour (sold)
