Hi All,
Back with another bloody awkward question. .. My rhd drive Jimny with a rhd fog light is great for left hand driving... But I need to change it over to other side for driving here in Bulgaria (rhd roads).
Does any-one know if it possible? The both light boxes are the same, I assume I can swap the bulb over and extend the wring over to the other light box. Would I be right?
Any-one do this before?
Cheers

I had the same problem when I registerd my RHD Jimny in France. The left hand fog light is fine to use but the hole for the bulb hoder is not drilled out so its a blank. I bought another bulb holder, happened to be a Freelander one (am I allowed to mention that name!) drilled and filed the blank at the back of the light until it fitted. I then ran a wire across to it from the original light and removed the bulb of the original light. It would then be easy to convert it back again. Not difficult to do but took a little while.

Thanks for that Obarno... I thought some-one would know, good site this for info... I hadn't thought about the dual role swapping over as and when needed makes sense. I have a Suzuki dealer here in Varna, I might go along and buy a new holder depends how many arms and legs he'd want though.... If not I'll just swap over the old holder to the other side as a permanent job drill it as your method. Where did you run the cable, is there a simple route, did you solder a splice or use connectors.
I'm going to fit a roof top spot-light too as the reversing lights are poor, I was thinking of running a connection from the existing reversing light wire with an in-line fuse and relay switch at the same time as swapping over the fog light.. So I guess I'll be dropping the head-liner to access the roof.
Cheers

Hi Tony - I soldered the new wire to the original - I think it makes a better job. The new wire runs across inside the car close to the back and under the trim by the jack recess so not difficult to do. I think the only difference in the lights, apart from the access hole is that the original light has a reflector in it which the LH one doesn't. However the light is plenty bright enough so not a problem.
I think with the roof lining you will be able to pull it down, gently, and feed a wire across the back without actually removing the headlining
