Iv seen a winch mounting plate on bits4vits for 100 quid, do any of you guys have these fitted? Can anyone reccomend an alternative? Suggestions and info greatly appreciated.

For that kind of money, get a Goodwinch TDS 9.5c

From time to time they're also for sale used on Devon4x4 forum and Mud Monsters FB page

Also perhaps consider a Superwich Talon 9.5.

The Goodwinch generally get better review by users than Talons. You can't put a finger on the Service Goodwinch provide. And there's also a good range of upgrades for the winch.
Only mentioned the Talon winch as an alternative.
There are of course other cheaper winches. Probably just as good for greenlaning. But most of them are stupidly slow and not of same quality as TDS and Talon. And then there are the much more expensive winches from Warn, Red Winches etc..
But as with all other things, horses for courses really
