New winch or upgrade was created by panosd
I have a warn 8000m with sk75 rope.

After the new engine installed (2.0cc gv) the winch must be able to run faster for the trophy races.

So i am between the change with a new one maybe superwinch talon 12.5 , warn 9.5xp, or replacing the motor

of my warn 8000m with a bow motor 2 12v.

Can the warn accept the bow motor 2 12v?

Does it worth the upgrade or go for a new one?

The bow motor 2 fits the M8000 winch, but since the winch's ratio is pretty high, you won't gain much speed.

If you use it for competition you're better off with a new faster winch, if you can afford it.

If on a budget, there are 2 winches I would consider. Either Goodwinch TDS 9.5c or Superwinch Talon 9.5

The TDS 9.5c is probably the best of these 2 winches. Best service and far more upgrade options. Not even sure you can fit a Warn XP/ Bow2 motor on a Talon winch. But the Talon winch has a low ratio than the TDS winch, so it a good deal faster.

But I'd probably go for the TDS 9.5 put a bow motor 2 on it and a turbo- controller, giving the winch 24 volt :)

If you have the money, put on a Warn 8274 with a bow motor 2 or 3, and overvolt it :) Much faster than any of the above mentioned options :)
