Need to split headlights for cleaning... anyboddy?

After beeing in deep whater my headlights was floddet with water, I have taken them of the car but cannot split it.. I see there are some clips of some kind.. but I cant do nothing with it. Can anybodfy help??

I would guess there sealed so would need to either cut the seal or melt it...

I've people online do "joey mods" to there headlights and part of the process is spliting them, part of the instructions is putting the lgiht in an oven to melt/soften the glue then prise apart.

There maybe a better way tho.

I've tried to take mine out to fix a bit of rust behind them,But seems to get stuck behind the raised bit of bumper so push it other way and get stuck behind wing.do it come out without removing anything ?

Heat gun and some levers . They will be tight but do come to bits

seems a bit of overkill to take it apart

just wash the headlamp in good hot soapy water swishing it about inside and leave it to soak
