i should soon be the proud owner of some impreza seats and im wondering what people have done to mount them?
ive read sponnie's guide HERE
but im wondering if anyone has done it differently/simpler? im not to bothered about keeping the jimny mounting "feet" like sponnie did so im wondering if theres an easier way of doing it.
could i just cut the mounting "feet" off the imprezza seats, remove the jimny seat from the lower runners and get the impreza seats welded directly to the top of the jimny lower runners? and maybe cut the sides off the jimny lower runners to not add height to the impreza seat.this would keep the jimny mounting "feet" but would negate the need to cut the ends off etc, just not sure if it would work.
ill have to get the welding done elsewhere so the simpler the better lol.
If your getting the welding done elsewhere, id just drop both sets with them and say, make em fit. If you leave it with someone with a bit of fabricating experience they will probably find the easiest way of doing it?
I done my brother impeza seat in to his pajero toke about 2 hour fabing up the mounts any one with some fabing skills should be able to do the same or there ripping you off
