Lo box would not engage today at all, just flashing light and beeping, I tried going back a bit etc but it just wouldn't play ball, any ideas? I haven't looked at it at all yet cos just got in, and I've got the push button selector

Not sure if it's like my New Grand Vitara? With the selector on that the ECU detects whether you've got the brake and clutch pedal pressed down before it will let you go into four-low, otherwise it just beeps and refuses to let you...

Just tried it and it's working fine
it only goes in with the clutch pressed, doesn't matter if I press the brake or not or if it's in gear, pretty sure I was pressing the clutch yesterday, where is the ecu located ? Will water affect it? Went through some big puddles yesterday

Believe the ecu is in the main cab.

That's probably it, the clutch needs to be pressed down before the ECU will let you select four-low... I much prefer a stick you can ram in!!
Spotted my ECU up under the dash by the passenger door hinges... quite high, your bum will be wet before it gets wet!
