Abs light on

I have a 2013 Jimny and the ABS light has just come on yet the ABS seems to be working, any ideas what might have caused this?

If the light is on then it shouldnt work

abs normaly starts works over 20 to 30mph find a loose surface road drive over 30 and stamp on the brakes that will tell you if it working

also iv seen the wires to the abs sensor on the front hubs get pinched on the hub and brake the wire

another test you can do is a resistance test with a multi meter and see if one of the sensors has a different reading from the rest

Check the brake fluid if that's full take it back to a dealer or you'll void warranty

Cheers for the replies found the problem, the wire that comes of the rear left wheel and runs up the arms to the plug had been pulled out of the plug itself so shes going up tomorrow to get fixed :laugh:
