got a lockright I bought in a diff fitted and its bloody loud sounds like a shotgun going off and the whole jimny shakes and feels like the axles going to rip out the bottom of it, its doesn't sound right, and doesn't disengage half the time I try going up to a round about and just coasting round but it drags a wheel or when it does disengage its loud and violent, ive watched some vids and mines nothing like them
is this normal as mine is nothing like this
found this vid at 1.40 theres a loud crack mines like that every were in the slightest corner that's if it doesn't just drag a wheel

The clicking when turning is pretty normal and every now and again you get a nasty loud crack and dip on the arse as it locks up. Could just be the springs maybe they want replacing but more than likely it's fine. As long as it's locking and unlocking it should be fine. Maybe drop the oil and make sure there isn't too much metal in there. I imagine it's fine though. I actually pish myself laughing when i'm going around a round about and a loud crack come and the car suddenly decides it wants to change it's angle a little bit. What other drivers must think.

Did you just fit the diff ? I thought it was a full axle he was selling . . . If you just swapped diffs the you need to set the backlash , this would have been done on the other axle

no was just a diff but you set the backlash on the diff on a bench not in a axle its also been tested, its going back any way as I wanted a lockrite not a robstorr as the robstor I could of got cheeper brand new he sold it to me saying it was a lockrite and that's not what I got ill bbe getting a refund and ordering a proper lockrite
