Brake pipe clips was created by The Dug
Evening chaps,

Discovered a ruptured pipe the other day so, as I don't have the appropriate access and in all honesty couldn't be ar*ed, I put it into my local 'specialist'.

Now that their monkeys have finished 'replacing the pipes' can anyone recommend a supplier for new plastic pipe brackets?

On a side note the shambles they have made of the pipe run is embarrassing - what's happened to taking pride in your work?

Rant over

Pride no longer features in this day and age. It's about doing the minimum and making a profit.

Yep its about getting it done as quick as possible using the least resources to maximise profit.

I remember reading on here a while back someone took their jim to a dealer to get them to stop the beep beep when you open the door with the key in the ignition............................all the dealer did was wedge the doors pin switch so the car thought the door was always shut!!! Main dealer bodge.

AKAIK, they are a Suzuki part only (so it would be cheaper to have a goldsmith make some up from 24 carat)

They locate on a stud on the chassis, and simply pop off with a lever. It is well nigh impossible to get them off the pipes unless you cut the pipes into ickle bitty pieces and pull them out individually, hence yours are all broken.

The good news is they simply push onto the pipes, there are 3 different hole sizes, so the pipes need be in the right order to fit them.

If you get new ones, please post the part number and price, I broke 3 of mine when I did my pipes

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Will do but it'll be a few weeks before I get them now as I'm away with work.

Spoke to local dealers today and they want to see the clips before ordering them in.

Did find out that the triple clip was £3.23 (+VAT) though so gives an idea what kind of prices we're looking at.

IIRR, my clips were all 5 way ones. I think there were 2 types, the difference being where the "foot" that locates over the stud was located.

I don't have any off the car, as I used what I had left, (some were down to 3 way and needed a bit of "help" from cable ties ;) )

You can just see the "foot" between the 2 thin brake pipes at the top and the thick fuel pipe. (This was before I changed them- the clips judt push ob from the front and the foot pushes onto the stud and grips.
