If it is the sound of air you can kill that by blanking off the inlet manifold inlet.
Here is a pic of mine temporarily blanked off using a screwbolt as a bung in a bit of tube. I now have some pukka blanking plugs.

What are the blanking plug dimensions, and where'd you get them? I'm just being lazy now, I could go outside and measure, but much easier asking on the internet

you could also just run a pipe from the point shown on the picture to the vacuum switch (one right at the bottom) that confirms the 'hubs are engaged' that way you won't have a flashing 4x4 light..
use the same size hose as all the rest of the vac pipes.. probably 3-4 mm ID. (screenwasher pipe)
