Yes the number plate wiring is fed through a hole between the centre of the bushes.

You can also use your old number plate on the caravan

@Gilburton thanks for your help it's all done and wired in.
To be fair I used a speaker cable as it was two wires together, but I'm concerned about it rubbing through. I'm not too concerned with the load on the cable as the lights just a LED lamp so I doubt it'll use many amps.
So I may use thicker wire
Here are some pics now it's done.
