Suzuki sell different part number oil filters depending on age.
The only difference I can see are the small holes in the base.
Are they realy that different or are they interchangeable.
The Jimny shop suggest the are interchangeable.

I would buy genuine, letting the dealer worry about supplying the right one, or a good brand from a motor factors, again letting them worry about supplying the right part. If they give a choice, I'd take the biggest as more oil in the system means a little more cooling and more to hold deposits so the oil stays cleaner longer.
Having said that it could only be minimally bigger so probably not enough to matter.
Are those k&n ones really any better than a genuine or good quality aftermarket one?

Apart from some K&N filters having a bolt fitting to get a hold of, as usual K&N are no better at filtering than anyone else.
