Hi, just been reading an earlier post and it mentioned about changing the diff oil at regular intervals, is this really needed and if so how often should you change it if your only on the roads and using standard diffs.
I can't see how offroading would affect the oil in the differentials. The stress on the diffs driving offroad are only marginally different to drivning onroad. Perhaps even less stress on the diffs offroad as there's much less traction in the mud.
Driving in deep mud or water and getting it in the diffs would affect the oil. But if that's not the case, I would just change the oil according to service intervals.
