Hello all, been out for a test drive today after fitting my lobster box and the speedo isn't working, it all appears to be connected up correctly and I have played around with and cleaned the connectors but still nothing, there is also the engine check light on which I assume is cause the speedo isn't working, anyone experienced this/know how to fix it
Is the speedo pickup sensor over the speedo gear? If so make sure you haven't broken any wires as its a fairly simple system, as long as the sensor is over the gear it should work. Not sure what the light is on your dash as even without the speedo sensor connected I didn't get a light on my dash, so may be something else wrong
Cheers for the reply tony, it's all lined up but haven't checked the wiring yet, will do that tomorrow. I have read online that if speedo isn't working and the engine check light is on then chances are its because the ecu isn't receiving any info from the speedo sensor which as you said could be a broken wire
Right, I have now checked all the wires and cleaned up the terminals yet still no speedo, the engine check light has gone off though. Anyone got any other ideas on what to try next?
