4wd vacuum system - need info / help

Hi , as above got a question on the 4wd vacuum system on my jimny (06 plate) I am thinking about changing to manual locking hubs but not sure how it works 100%
I understand once manual locking hubs are fitted you turn them physically to lock them in which as far as I understand means that's you from 2wd to 4wd high, correct ?
Here's my next question if above is correct how do you change from 4wd to 4 low??
Take it you don't just push the bottom because the vacuum hoses have been disconnected to fit the manual locking hubs ??

Any help would be great

use your 4x4 leaver in the same way instead of the car locking the hubs you have to get out and turn them

Hi I don't have the lever its the push buttons I have in my jimny

You just push the 4wd buttons like you're used to do after those vacuum hoses are plugged. Only difference is that you have to go out of the truck, and manually turn the hubs into lock position. If you don't go and lock them, it won't go into 4wd no matter what button you push, because the power is not transfered to the front wheels as long as the hubs are open.

yer what paul said but you never said it was a button one lol well thats how it works if you have a leaver type transferbox
