Just been quoted £690.88 +VAT for this service, apparently includes replacing cylinder head gasket. Seems very expensive, is this what should be expected? Thanks

Cylinder head gasket? Is there an underlying issue with the car that suggest it needs a head gasket, like coolant in the oil or something?

Perhaps confirm which gasket is being replaced, the cylinder head gasket or the valve cover gasket.
Checking the valve clearances requires the valve cover to be removed not the cylinder head.

My local Suzuki dealer (Northumberland) uses Suzuki Fixed Price rates for service and 6 years, 60,000 miles is shown as ‘Suzuki Major Service Plus’ for £339.
Interesting it’s the same price as a major service, the minor and minor plus are the same price as well at £239, they just seem to change to the plus after 3 years, although no details of what is done.
I found this on Team Ghetto Racing,

You are probably looking at spark plugs at 60,000 and valves checked, so new rocket box cover gasket as already mentioned.
Martin might have a copy of the official service schedule.
