Hello everyone
looking for replacement front seats (not jimny seats) that are comfy and easy to fit. I seen people recommend swift seats but they don't say from what years of production model. Or are they easy to install, do they need brackets to be made too get them to fit or do they just bolt straight in?
any help would be appreciated šĀ

It's a 2009 1.3 and the seats I would like to fit would come from another car, not new seats!

Then the easiest seat to fit is the recaros out of the early 2000s ignis sport. You retain the jimny sliders and the only difficult modification is lengthening the backrest adjustment bar. However finding a set is not going to be easy or cheap. The other alternative is master forest seat bases and then any flat bottom seat that is narrow enough to fit in.

I fitted MasterForest seat bases and then Bad Boy Classics BB6 semi bucket seats to my Gen3. They were a tight fit, left to right, but I did achieve it without cutting anything, like door cards, just had to re-drill the MasterForest seat bases to take the seat rails.
See my post here www.bigjimny.com/forum/7-jimny-technical...-my-3rd-gen?start=12
They were much better than the faux leather seats in my 2011, especially off road where you didnāt slide around so much.
The reason I went for new seats was that the Recaros which fit are silly money and are now quite old so the chances of finding a good set which doesnāt need renovating is very slim.

Mercedes W176 from 2017 A class
I already had seat subframes from previous seats fitted.Ā
I got manual adjustment because these are flat fitting
Electric adjustment are not flat fittingĀ
See picture of modification to door card to remove the armrest part....... Possibly if seats are further back[I'm short š] you could leave the door card aloneĀ
Door card mod was from my first set of bucket seats because my elbow kept hitting itĀ
