Whatcha. I have ignis recaros in temeraire and they are brilliant, way better than the factory seats in bellerophon which I feel like I'm sitting on not in. However what bellerophon does have is more leg to steering wheel clearance as a result of the movable wheel. I've looked at making the wheel on temeraire movable and that's not happening. Sooooo I'm now looking at lowering at least the driver seat to give the same effect, it will also lower the centre of gravity if I can sit my 150kg lower in the shell. I'm not particularly interested in keeping the sliders as the occasion when a short person drives is minimal enough to use a cushion or 6. I have some far only seen the master forest and jimnybits seat bases but from the pictures they look quite high, or is that an optional illusion?
Has anyone got some that they might measure up from the floor to the mounting points?

I had Masterforest seat bases for my aftermarket bucket seats and when the bucket seats were mounted the height of the seat base (top of the cushion) was the same as stock seats.
The problem is the two inner mounting points close to the transmission tunnel which are significantly raised.
If you didn’t fit runners and have some low profile seat bases you might ‘cheek’ a couple of inches off the height.

The recaros are definitely lower already than spare jimny by about 12mm, looking at the pictures it's seems that the full bases are flat across from the height of the inside bolt holes? If I'm not working the weekend i will have a seat out see how much wasted height there is. Thanks Robin.

Hi, I bought the seats from Dr Robin, and I now sit lower in the car. This would suggest the bases are lower. Cheers

missing the runners out will help and your Recaros might be lower profile. I had to drill the Masterforest seat bases to take my aftermarket seats, took ages to get the holes in the right place as they were quite a tight fit side ways and I didn’t want to do any door trimming.
The Masterforest bases also have a mounting point for the seat belt, something that might be missing on other bases.

That is correct, the Masterforest bases are flat from the highest inside bolt hole. ME101 did get the seats and bases from me, but I reckon the seat was about the same height as the standard seats, however, as they were semi-bucket seats the side cushions of the seat base were definitely higher and the front might’ve been slightly higher and the middle/back slightly lower than stock faux leather seats. The recaros are definitely lower already than spare jimny by about 12mm, looking at the pictures it's seems that the full bases are flat across from the height of the inside bolt holes?
