Whatcha. Ok, so, doing some preventative maintenance and I have made a discovery kinda. It seems that for some reason my near side hub has been apart possibly. I say this because the kingpin has different black sealer on it and evidence of grey CV grease on the tip of the pin. Which kinda surprised me on a 4 year old car, especially one with traction control. I am obviously jumping to the conclusion that the CV joint and or half shaft have have needed some form of intervention. It's not evidently affecting the way it drives and I am not unduly worried. I am however trying to work out how the traction control would allow someone to be so aggressive as to require a half shaft CV intervention, I thought it was supposed to minimise wheel spinning, maybe not. With the new privacy information laws is it possible to get the contact information for the previous owner to find out what happened because it's not on the v5 anymore just for my mental health you understand.

How about something just went wrong from new, early life new vehicle part failure and it was fixed by the dealer under warranty. It doesn't need to involve the traction control, sometimes thing just break or rattle for no reason, requiring intervention, the Gen4 rattle is a fine example.
Don't worry, be happy.

Yeah I know, it could be anything and it's not manifesting itself as any kind of detectable issue. It's just after long term ownership of the last one from new I knew everything that happened to it and what to potentially expect going forward. Temeraire being bought used even at only 3 years and 9 thousand miles it's just that dark patch of not knowing what if anything was done that niggles my OCD. And yes I know I have to deal with the problems that may happen when they do and I know I am not supposed to worry about the what ifs but my brain doesn't always work like that.
